On Thursday, Minnesota United announced a multi-year partnership with the Lao Family Foundation. United will be the lead sponsor in the foundation’s signature event: the Hmong International Freedom Festival July 1 and 2. MNUFC will also facilitate the festival’s soccer tournament and provide free tickets to the July 4 match against the Columbus Crew to the winning teams.
Nominations are currently open for the MLS community MVP. Finalists will be selected from each MLS market and a winner will be announced during the halftime of the MLS All-Star Game. As part of their prize package, all finalists will name a charity to receive a donation (a total of $46,000).
