The Spanish giants will head stateside in 2017, and will become the first La Liga team to play in the MLS All-Star Game at Soldier Field in Chicago. Given the Aug. 2 match occurs during Barcelona’s preseason, fans will have to wait and see if the the deadly attack of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Neymar takes part in full.

    United play inter-squad scrimmage

The 11 vs. 11 scrimmage was detailed here by the Star Tribune. A few things to know:

    • Bernardo Añor missed the scrimmage due to a hamstring injury.
    • Vadim Demidov, Andrew Tinari, Tanner Thompson, Marco Carducci, and Patrick McClain trained separately.
    • Christian Ramirez and Abu Danladi spent the scrimmage as the two forwards in a 4-4-2 formation.

    Rainbow connection

There may be one more obstacle for the planned stadium in midway to tackle. The Rainbow Foods in Midway sits where the northwest part of the stadium will potentially be. Bill Lindeke of MinnPost details the tricky situation United and Rainbow find themselves in.
