This has the potential to be a trap game for Dallas and an opportunity for us if the Hoops are flat or not in the right mindset following their CCL debacle.

Nah, easy Dallas win in my drunk opinion (hope I’m wrong). I think it’s back to giving up tons of goals for mnufc defense.

3-1 Burn. However, if this is a mostly B-team side, then it might be much closer.

I asked on Reddit as well:
Does anyone else think Danladi might get the start at the wing over Ibarra and kadrii?

It’s a bit late to ask, but he has been a focal point of praise lately, and while the other two have been useful I don’t think either has locked the job down.

Plus Heath might imagine Danladi could provide a similar set of two way play to Ibarra

Intriguing but I don’t think he will. I’d imagine a similar lineup to last week minus Cronin being in for Ibson. But that’s just my guess.

Don’t think Danladi is seen as a winger. Also don’t think he’s shown enough to really warrant that.

Burch and Cronin get the start. Surprising. Is this the first time Demidov hasn’t even been listed on the bench?

Will be interesting to see the two DM in there, I hope it doesn’t push us to be just defensive, need to create options going forward too

Yep. I’m interested to see if they connect to the attack effectively. So far seems like Molino and company are dropping deeper than they have been in the past.

10 Minutes in and Cronin’s presence seems to be making a big different. He is anchored as a clear 6, providing an outlet, directing traffic, and keeping things settled. So far, looking much better. Burch also seems a calming influence.

Does anybody know if we are attacking south or north? Passes appear to be bad or caught up in the wind

I think you’re right, Loons defenitely look to be playing into the wind this first half. Still, professionals can/should adjust

Loons have to stop giving the ball away out of defense. Killing our ability to possess and transition.

Also need to start connecting passes in the final 1/3. And sending in good crosses. everything either short and to no one or waaaaaaaaaaay too long.

Efforts to let rip with an inch of space yielding interesting chances, but “interesting” isn’t the same as “in the net”

very true. Better in the second half, but I suspect that was FCD sitting back combined with Ibson on for Warner.

Loons never looked like winning. Played for a draw at best and failed. Second half was better, but that was mostly because FCD had a 2-goal lead and we had a midfielder who could distribute and generate an attack.

Agree other than never. Felt if we could get to half with a draw and made the subs we had a chance. Over all d improved but attack was off. I thought most stuff working up Burch died with him holding it up. For good or bad.

Overall better from the loons. Need to fix small mistakes; too many poor passes.
