In this recap of Minnesotans playing professionally outside of the state: Stiever and Hobbs finish their season while Kolander has mixed results in cup games.
With little to play for, Östersunds DFF finished their Elitettan season with a 1-0 win over IF Böljan. ÖDFF scored in the 33rd minute and held on for the victory with only one sub available. Josee Stiever started and went the full 90 in the midfield while Tarah Hobbs was not on the team sheet.
AC Sparta Praha are out of the Champions League after a 3-0 loss to Linköpings FC. The result gave Linköpings a 4-1 advantage on aggregate. Simone Kolander came on in the 79th minute, just one minute after her team were down by two goals. During her brief stint, the forward saw her only shot blocked by a defender.
The following week Sparta rebounded with a 21-0 victory in the Czech Cup against Sázava u L. Kolander started up top and opened the scoring in the 4th minute. She added another in the 16th minute before completing a hat-trick just before halftime. The former Gopher also also notched a pair of assists.
