News in Brief: How the USSF Presidential Election Works and More

    USSF President election

There are six—and counting—candidates so far for USSF President. On Medium, Anthony DiCiccio goes over how the voting process works and how one of the candidates can become USSF President. The election will take place in 2018.

    MLS transfer change

According to Paul Tenorio of FourFourTwo, multiple league sources are saying that MLS will make a change to their transfer policy. With the change, MLS teams will keep 100% of the transfer fees from the sale of Homegrown players. At the moment, MLS keeps 25% of Homegrown transfer fees. This will give MLS teams more incentive to sell players abroad.

    News bits

    • Gopher soccer sign GK from Oconomowoc, WI.
    • Christian Pulisic will stay in Dortmund for the next international break.
