MLS 2018 Regular Season schedule revealed
MLS released the 2018 regular season schedule today. MNUFC organized schedules for both home and away games and also released details on 5 match mini plans for this year. Plans are available now for purchase with starting purchase prices ranging anywhere between $110 and $925 dollars.
Other than the schedule reveal today, offseason news has been somewhat sparse over the last couple of weeks. In a roster build update on MLSSoccer.com, the most noteworthy moves indicated thus far have been sending Johan Venegas out on loan. Other former Loons have found new homes recently, including the likes of midfielder Mohammed Saeid joining Danish Superliga club Lyngby BK and defender Justin Davis signing with new USL side Nashville SC.
MLS SuperDraft nears
Mock drafts for the 2018 MLS Superdraft are starting to pop up online, where a couple outlets project Minnesota United to draft an attacking player with their fifth overall selection. Jon Bakero of Wake Forest is one such name that could be called for selection by the Loons in Philadelphia on January 19.
With the draft combine next week between January 11-17 in Orlando, Paul Kennedy at SoccerAmerica.com posits the draft plays a diminishing role in roster building in MLS.
