It may well. There’s a long history of newspapers around the globe using a 10-point scale. This has been adopted by video games like Football Manager and websites like Who Scored?
FiftyFive.One’s decision to use a 10-point scale is to keep match ratings in that context — a lot of people already have an understanding of what a 7.1 performance is.
