Loons in the news
Minnesota United will be missing a few key pieces this weekend for their away match at New York Red Bulls. Out on international duty will be defender Francisco Calvo (Costa Rica), defender Michael Boxall (New Zealand), and midfielder Rasmus Schüller (Finland).
MNUFC has extended Francisco Calvo’s contract to keep him in Minnesota through 2020. The contract also includes options to extend through 2022. The club is also working on extending the contracts of other players as well.
While rumored to have originally reached an agreement with USL side St. Louis FC, Minnesota United is still exploring options with other midwest cities to serve as the club’s USL affiliate.
