In this week’s recap of Minnesotans playing professionally outside of the state: Akale finishes on both ends of a rout and injury updates on Cropper and Miller
Teal Bunbury added his second goal of the season in a 4-0 win over the Montreal Impact. The Impact went down to 10 men in the 12th minute. Six minutes later Bunbury put the New England Revolution ahead. The striker held off a defender while settling a long ball with his chest. After a couple of bounces he buried his shot far post. Bunbury also earned a PK in the 30th minute, but Evan Bush saved the resulting shot.

The Revs included Cody Cropper in the injury report this week with a concussion. The keeper has a history with concussions. In 2015 he missed time with the Southampton U-21 squad.
Andrew Kendall-Moullin started for Atlanta United 2 in a 1-1 draw with Penn FC. The midfielder completed 83% of his passes during his 87 minute showing. Though not as active defensively as last week, he did make six clearances, three tackles and a pair of interceptions.
Villarreal CF C defeated Recambios Colón CD 3-0 in a midweek matchup. Mukwelle Akale started the game on the bench, but an injury brought him on in the 9th minute. An own goal gave Villarreal an early lead. In the second half the side added two goals six minutes apart.
In the side’s second game of the week, Villarreal didn’t fare as well. Akale went the distance, but by halftime CF La Nucía had scored four unanswered goals. Villarreal pulled one back during the second half, but little could change the end result.
Eric Miller is day-to-day by with a calf injury. The defender did not dress for the Colorado Rapids’ 1-1 draw with FC Dallas.
Jackson Yueill missed San Jose’s gameday roster for the Earthquakes’ 1-1 draw with the Philadelphia Union.
Calum Mallace did not make the bench for LAFC in a 5-0 loss to Atlanta United.
