Omsberg to Tulsa
Minnesota United FC announced that draftee Wyatt Omsberg has been sent to Tulsa Roughnecks FC on loan. The defender has made only one appearance in league play for Minnesota United FC this season. It is likely that he will see some time with the Loons losing both Calvo and Boxall to international duty for the World Cup. This loan serves the dual purpose of getting Omsberg fit to play as well as getting him experience to improve. The loan deal does include the right of recall for Minnesota United FC, so we may not have seen the last of Omsberg in Loons’ colors this year.
Additional Access to Cloud City
St. Paul and Minneapolis may be adding a way to access Allianz field for Minnesota United supporters. There is talk of extending the Greenway (a walking/biking trail) to St. Paul and the Midway neighborhood. This is not the first time the topic has been brought up, but doing so with the renovation of Midway makes a fair amount of sense.
