Let there be lights
As Minnesota United play out their second, and final, season at TFC Bank Stadium, progress continues at Allianz Field. Lighting at the Loons’ new home was tested earlier in the week. This second round of tests give a glimpse of the lighting installation under the stadium skin.
Meet and greet with Loon defender Michael Boxall
MNUFC and New Zealand international defender Michael Boxall will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Roseville, MN on July 20, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Head on out for autographs, food, and fun, plus your chance to win two tickets to the International Champions Cup match between Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan at U.S. Bank Stadium on July 31.
Transfer season MNUFC style
With United having had a busy transfer window to date, bringing in Angelo Rodriguez as a Designated Player and using TAM to sign Romario Ibarra, the Loons approached the Chicago Fire regarding a trade for midfielder Dax McCarty.
Life at Sky Blue FC
With three points from their first 15 games, courtesy of three draws, life on the field for Sky Blue FC could be better. To make matters even worse, current and former players have described the situation at the club in bleak terms, making life at the club off the field more dire than the club’s current winless season.
Beer and soccer
Coming to Minneapolis later this summer is La Doña Cerveceria, a brewery with an outdoor soccer field among its many amenities. Enough said.
