News in Brief: Loons Abroad, MLS Transfers, and More…

    Minnesota United Friendlies and Paperwork

While most of the Loons continue the preseason, goalkeeper Vito Mannone is overseas working on his immigration paperwork. Adrian Heath hopes Mannone will be back by the week’s end, but isn’t sure he will be. The problem with the keeper’s paperwork is unclear.

Also of note is that Chase Gaspar and Hassani Dotson have signed deals and are officially on Minnesota United FC’s roster. Rookie keeper Dayne St. Clair is on a Generation Adidas contract already.

The Loons’ preseason continues with United having shows good defensive solidity thus far and winning over the New England Revolution on a Miguel Ibarra goal.

    MLS Transfers

While transfers across the league have slowed down- particularly those of the big-name variety- one does seem to be taking shape. Nani, of Manchester United fame, is apparently on the verge of signing with Orlando United SC. Orlando had a horrific 2018 season and will be hoping to improve.
