Loons tie Sounders in fourth match at Allianz
In four matches at Allianz, Minnesota United FC have one win and three draws, with the latest coming Saturday against the Seattle Sounders. Being unbeaten is great for Minnesota, though only having scored two goals in three games isn’t so positive. The Loons offense has dried up just as the defense has buckled down, only allowing one goal in three games.
The result of this homestead, however, is that United has put itself in position to be in the playoffs after the 2019 season. The Loons have not made the playoffs before, and doing so is the stated goal this season.
Caleb Porter is mad and letting loose
Caleb Porter was quite blunt when discussing Columbus’ 3-1 loss to D.C. United. Porter was less than pleased with the quality of the officiating and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind regarding the reversal of Columbus’ goal and allowance of D.C.’s first goal.
