Which keeper’s a keeper?
On the heels of his recent profile on John Alvbåge, Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press had a lot of updates on Minnesota United’s goalkeeper situation. Bobby Shuttleworth, who broke his nose in the Sporting Kansas City match, missed training on Wednesday. He needed the time for a little bit of nasal surgery. Alec Ferrell, drafted by the team in January, continues to deal with knee issues. With only two healthy keepers — one of whom is a highly-paid back-up on loan — it’s not surprising to see some new faces in front of the net at training. Two Shattuck-St. Mary graduates, Brendan Rennie and Joseph Melong are now training with the Loons.
