MLS 24 Under 24 shortlist released

The mlssoccer.com 24 Under 24 began Monday and will culminate on Thursday, Sept. 28th. On Sunday the 50-player shortlist was released. Most notably, Abu Danladi was left off the list despite scoring seven goals this season with the majority of them coming in sub appearances. However, Minnesota native Jackson Yueill did make the shortlist.

    Loon accolades

For their stupendous play in the match against FC Dallas this past weekend Christian Ramirez and Bobby Shuttleworth have earned spots on the MLS Team of The Week. Ramirez is in the starting lineup after knocking in his 13th goal of the season and also providing two assists. Shuttleworth made the bench after making some great saves during the game, none bigger than his penalty save on Mauro Díaz.

Miguel Ibarra is up for Goal of the Week for his volley against Dallas. Vote for him here.

How does the #1 Superdraft pick not get on the “24 Under 24” list? I can understand if he’s not played or been injured, but he has a good number of starts and a solid number of goals.

A 30- something Managing in Europe? Any more information?? This is a pretty exciting/big news!
From the MN United Academy Front – I like the progress that Tim Carter & Co are making. I heard their weekend trip was a success and can not wait to see the youth moving forward in our area.
