Wayzata girls’ team and Stillwater boys’ have both been ranked as one of the top programs in the country by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). This is the third consecutive week being ranked for Wayzata and the fourth-consecutive for Stillwater.
The Ponies have moved up in the rankings; having been voted 13th last week, Stillwater have improved to seventh overall on the boys’ side of the rankings.
Stillwater is 14-0-0 this season, outscoring opponents 55-7 in those matches. They are led by Kohei Adams and Miguel Caravais, who have both scored 12 goals. Adams has added nine assists, while Caravais has five. Stillwater’s last regular-season match is away to Roseville on Thursday, October 6 at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
Wayzata have dropped from 16th to 24th. They are 10-2-1 W-L-T and have outscored their competition 39-5 to date. Wayzata girls’ team has just two matches left this season, this Thursday, October 6 away to Eden Prairie at 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 8 at home against Minnetonka at 3:00 p.m. CDT. *
