The NASL has released its schedule for the 2017 season. After a tumultuous offseason, the league will begin competitive play on March 25. The NASL’s Twitter account is using the hashtag #MarchIsComing to promote the new season. However, only six of its eight teams play games in March, with Jacksonville and Edmonton playing their season openers on April 2.
Notable fixtures
- San Francisco will kick off its inaugural season against Indy Eleven on March 25.
- Edmonton will travel 7,085 miles in one week when it plays at home on a Sunday, away to Puerto Rico on a Wednesday, and then away to San Francisco the following Saturday. The NASL schedule makers must not own a map.
