Real Madrid head to the windy city
The reigning UEFA Champions League winners will make their way over to Soldier Field for the 2017 MLS All-Star game. Real Madrid are arguably the best team in the world as they won the FIFA Club World Cup last December. The match will take place on August 2, 2017 at Soldier Field in Chicago and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and Univision in the United States.

Secretary of Defense suspended
Tim Howard was suspended for three games after an altercation with a fan in Kansas City. Howard missed the first game of his suspension this past weekend away at Real Salt Lake. RSL won the game 2-1 on a late goal by Brooks Lennon. Howard will miss Colorado’s upcoming game against Minnesota United. David Rudin of the Guardian wrote how this suspension could impact Howard’s reputation.
Playing for Pride
Loons’ midfielders Sam Cronin and Collin Martin have joined Austin Da Luz in Playing for Pride this season. Players will donate $2 per game played, $3 per game started, $4 per assist, and $5 for every goal. Playing for Pride raises money for the Human Rights Campaign. Minnesota native Eric Miller has also joined the Playing for Pride campaign. You can donate here.

Minnesota United FC head coach Adrian Heath threw the first pitch at the Minnesota Twins game Tuesday night. Not too shabby for a rookie!
