USMNT releases 23-man Gold Cup roster
Bruce Arena has unveiled his 23-man Gold Cup roster. Arena has said previously that this year’s Gold Cup roster would be more of a “B”‘ squad. Mainstays like Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, and Jozy Altidore will make way for their countrymen who are looking to earn a spot on next year’s World Cup roster. Players like Cristian Roldan, Kenny Saief, and Dom Dwyer have a golden chance to earn their first USMNT senior caps. While MLS veterans like Dax McCarty and Matt Hedges will have at least the group stage to show Arena where they could fit at World Cup Russia 2018.

Demba Ba, Moussa Sow, Yohan Cabaye, and Eden Hazard have partnered with local businesses to help bring a professional team to San Diego. At the moment, the San Francisco Deltas are the only NASL team in California.
