MLS playoff round-up
Toronto FC and New York Red Bulls went at each other in New Jersey with Toronto winning 2-1. Thanks to goals by Victor Vazquez and Sebastian Giovinco, Toronto will take a one-goal lead back to BMO Field. New York managed to equalize through a Daniel Royer penalty but still ended up with the loss. It was not all good for Toronto as Vazquez and Drew Moor had to leave the game with injuries.

Houston Dynamo and Portland Timbers slogged to a dull 0-0 draw. Both teams had penalty shouts waved off by the referee. Portland will return to Providence Park with three major injuries. Larrys Mabiala and Darlington Nagbe were able to leave the field under their own power, but Diego Chará had to be stretchered off.
