Defender Bertrand Owundi Eko’o has been sent out on loan to USL side Charlotte Independence. The loan agreement includes a right of recall for MLS.

News of Owundi’s loan comes in on the heels of reports from Minnesota United’s midweek practice that Brazilian defensive midfielder Fernando Bob is trialing with the squad. Fernando is recently out of contract as of July 31, when his loan deal expired with Brazilian league Serie A side Ponte Preta.

Minnesota United is pushing for 50,000 in attendance for their final home match of the season against LA Galaxy on Sunday, October 21. The club is opening the entire upper deck at TCF Bank Stadium and reducing ticket prices as well as prices at a few concessions stands. “50k To Midway” will be the Loons’s final regular season home match at TCF Bank Stadium before moving to Allianz Field in Spring 2019.

Defender Michael Boxall was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 24 after scoring his first MLS goal Saturday night against LA Galaxy. The center back shared his experience in scoring, praising Darwin Quintero’s service on Boxall’s headed attempt on goal.
