Steel arrives at Allianz Field site
2,400 tons of steel arrived in St. Paul this week at the Allianz Field construction site. A further breakdown of the materials on site reveals just how much steel will go into building the framework of MNUFC’s future home stadium.
Tocelebrate, members from the community and Minnesota United’s front office held a column signing ceremony on what will be the south side of the stadium. An executive from Mortenson Construction, Greg Huber, was interviewed about the steel arriving on site and how far stadium construction has come to date.
It’s been a busy start to the off-season for Minnesota United’s sporting director Manny Lagos as well. Earlier this month, Lagos was cited on a scouting trip in Colombia and was asked this week about lessons learned from last year’s Scandinavian signings and how that impacts the choices to be made heading into 2018.
